Joel Oosthuizen is a transformer first and foremost. Passionate about Agile enterprise, he is known as a consultant, coach, and trainer who can initiate and encourage lasting Agile transformations. He has served a number of enterprises and teams on the journey to realize their full potential in terms of quality, productivity, and job satisfaction. Using the tenets entrenched in the Agile group of methodologies, Joel delivers working software early and frequently by enabling teams to operate as self-organizing and cross-functional units. He has been involved in every part of the SDLC and PDLC, enabling him to assess as-is processes and to envisions to-be processes. For nine years, he has been involved in software development on both sides of the business and technical sphere.
In addition to all of this, Joel is also an ICAgile trainer, a PMI-ACP trainer, and an XP coach. His achievements include transforming the Fiduciary services at a major SA Bank to Agile methods, Conference Chair of the Continuously Lean Conference in 2014, implementing Agile with Scrum for an international Hotel Reservation CorporationÂ in 2010, and founding Agilocity, a company that specializes in Agile training and consultations with recognized specialists.
Joel is a natural people person with a strong work ethic and a strict set of principles. He is a skilled leader and functions within his team by motivating others to greatness. His specialties are Agile, Scrum, Kanban, XP, Agile project management, Agile consulting, Agile coaching, and Agile team facilitation.
Em is a highly experienced development manager and Agile coach with strong preference to team enablement through Agile. She has successfully led and implemented Agile through pilot projects in multiple large organizations and understands the challenges faced during dual transition and delivery. Em holds Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional, ICAgile Certified Professional and SAFe Program Consultant certifications and has eight years of Agile corporate training and coaching under the belt.

Qualified (PMP, PSM I, CompTIA Project +, MCSE) Project Manager with experience in IT Projects in the Financial, Motor manufacturing, Government, Mining and Telecommunication sectors.
The purpose of business is to continually create new customers while ensuring you keep your existing customers, and to do this you need products and services that add VALUE. The result of good business is a positive balance sheet.
I believe that the Lean/Agile approach is the best approach to product/service development (from a Strategic view to the development process to implementation) and that for many businesses, be it start-ups or existing companies, survival and growth in todayâ€™s economy lies in understanding this approach and doing it. Good business is ultimately the ability to take the right risks at the right time.
As Project Manager my goal is to help Business achieve its Return on Investment (ROI) as quickly as possible by helping to select the right projects and implementing them in such a way that they deliver value to the customer as soon as possible.
As Scrum Master/Coach I enjoy leading teams (and Business) to realizing the value of a Lean/Agile approach to product development and in growing and empowering people to take ownership of their deliverables so that they can be more productive.
